Plot Summary:
Set in the 26th century after humanity has colonized a new star system, Firefly follows Captain Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds and his ragtag crew aboard the transport ship Serenity. Once a soldier on the losing side of a civil war, Mal now scrapes by with smuggling, odd jobs, and staying just ahead of Alliance forces. Alongside first mate Zoe, pilot Wash, mercenary Jayne, mechanic Kaylee, doctor Simon Tam, fugitive River Tam, preacher Shepherd Book, and courtesan Inara, Mal navigates a dangerous universe where trust, survival, and independence are constantly tested.

Critics Review:
Though short-lived with only one season before cancellation, Firefly earned a passionate cult following.
