Reviews
Synopsis
When a British spy ship with a crucial missile control system sinks, Bond is sent to recover it before it falls into the wrong hands. His mission brings him into contact with Melina Havelock, who’s out for revenge against the people who murdered her parents. There’s diving, skiing, mountain climbing, and a whole lot of Cold War tension.

Overview
After the spacey excess of Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only feels refreshingly grounded. It’s a return to Cold War intrigue and espionage, with fewer gadgets and more grit. Roger Moore plays Bond with more seriousness this time, and the action scenes are strong—especially the rock-climbing finale. It’s a more mature Bond outing.

Family Friendliness
Though PG, this film is more intense than previous entries. It includes revenge themes, underwater violence, and a few sensual scenes. Nothing graphic, but the emotional stakes and realistic tone make it better suited for teens and up.

Christian Perspective
Themes of justice vs. revenge play a big role here, with Bond trying to steer Melina away from personal vengeance. While Bond’s own morality remains ambiguous (especially with his romantic entanglements), this film subtly questions violence and retaliation. Still, it’s an action thriller and doesn't aim for a moral message.
