📖 Plot Summary

Dr. Alan Grant is pulled back to Isla Sorna under false pretenses by Paul and Amanda Kirby, who claim their son Eric is missing. The group crashes on the island and soon discovers velociraptors are more intelligent and deadly than expected. A new threat emerges in the form of a massive Spinosaurus. Survival becomes a desperate race as Grant, the Kirbys, and a few allies try to escape.

🧠 Overview

Directed by Joe Johnston, this sequel trades philosophical weight for fast-paced thrills. Running just over 90 minutes, it's lean and action-driven—but critics argue it lacks the wonder of Spielberg’s earlier films and leans too heavily on recycled tropes. Despite mixed reception, it’s seen as a competent dinosaur adventure rooted in survival instincts.

✝️ Family Friendliness & Christian Perspective

Rated PG‑13. Contains frequent dinosaur violence with gore, perilous situations, and mild language. Common Sense Media recommends age 12+ for intense action scenes and jump scares. Characters face moral dilemmas, and the story warns against exploitation of nature for personal gain—sparking conversation around stewardship and responsibility.
