Plot Summary:
Count Dracula (Bela Lugosi) travels from Transylvania to London after arranging via his agent, Renfield, to purchase Carfax Abbey. He arrives by ship in a coffin filled with soil from his homeland, which he needs to survive. Dracula begins feeding on the living—especially young women like Lucy—and seducing Mina. As fear and deaths mount, Dr. Van Helsing and others band together to uncover the truth and destroy him, ultimately impaling him with a wooden stake and freeing Mina from his curse.
